1 dollar does make me holla!
I took advantage of a great deal for restaurant gift certificates. I paid $1 for $25 GCs which is 90% off discount off the usual $10 for $25 GCs.
It's to celebrate 9-9-09 for 99 hours (not sure why other than it's a cool numbered date)
All you do is go to restaurant.com and use the code "NINETY" to get the discount when you checkout. Once you buy them, you don't have to wait for anything in the mail. You can just print out your certificates. Most, if not all, GCs expire after 1 year after date of issue.
However, most GCs have fine print and qualifications such as minimum purchase amounts or excluding alcohol and dining must be on certain days. Make sure you read that before purchasing...but at $1, you can't really go wrong. For GCs with big minimum purchase, I figure I just get a couple friends together and we can all save. It's a great way to try out new restaurants too.
I ended up paying $5.00 for five $25 giftcards to the following restaurants in the KC area:

Grooveshark
In the last few years I've been pretty lazy about getting new music. I basically listened to the radio, but as many know, that just gets all too repetitive.
Many use live streaming music websites like Pandora or Last.fm, but recently I was introduced to Grooveshark and it really is the best thing out there in terms of how I like listen to music...DIRECTLY finding songs. Unlike Pandora and last.fm where finding a song usually direct you to songs like it, but not the one you actually look for. Grooveshark lets you find the songs you're actually searching for and easily build playlists. It's like having an huge iTunes music library but stored online!
As far as limitation goes, I haven't found any. There's no limit of song skipping like Pandora has. The only bad thing I've noticed is their "autoplay" feature needs improvement. Autoplay is their music discovery feature which tries to find songs similar to the ones in your playlist and adds them to your listening queue. Grooveshark also lets you make widgets for your playlists which i embedded along side this blog.
Unfortunately, being an iPhone user, a Grooveshark app isn't available unlike Pandora and last.fm. Techcrunch said it may not pass the app store review process. I can definitely see a conflict of interest. If a Grooveshark app was approved, it'd probably hurt iTunes music store sales. But if you want to know what the iPhone app looks like here are some screenshots.

Roasted Red Pepper Stuffed Chicken Breasts
Stuffed-anything is usually pretty good. I thought this Roasted Red Pepper Stuffed Chicken Breasts was average. After all, it's a relatively healthy dish so my expectations of taste are curbed. The roast peppers were good, but adding some extra rub seasoning would really kick this up a notch.
If you like vinegar a lot, this Brussels sprout is a good side dish. The brussels sprouts are simply boiled, salted, and tossed in some Balsamic Vinaigrette. I personally don't like too much vinegar so I'd put a little less than what the recipe calls for.
